A 19th Century Scagliola column with white marble base and capital.
The column imitating Portor, a very rare marble quarried in Italy and Corsica. The base and capital made in white Carrara marble with a central bronze disk inset, originally designed for mounting sculpture.
Condition. The Scagliola is in good condition. Various scuffs, scratches, small chips commensurate with age. Larger chips to the edge of the capital.
109 cm H, the top 36 cm diameter
