Vittorio Zecchin (1878 - 1947) was a native Muranese and son of a glasswork technician. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Together with the painter Teodoro Wolf Ferrari he presented at the XI. Venice Biennale some glasses made by Barovier in 1914. From 1921 to 1925 he was artistic director at Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & C., for which he created classic pieces in clear glass and delicate colors. Inspired by the Venetian pictorial style of 16th-century, these vases were the first examples of modern Murano glasswork.
Very good condition with minor scratches to the base.
