A wall-mounted console by Fontana Arte.

The curved glass shelf and painted wooden shelf supported by a sculptural brass bracket.

Fontana Arte’s post-war designs often explored the interplay of glass and metal in light architectural forms, and this piece reflects that approach perfectly.

The glass retains its original hand-etched production number, “2669 N 3 B15,” engraved along the polished edge, a typical factory marking used by Fontana Arte to identify individual components.

Elegant and practical, it would sit beautifully in a hallway.

Fontana Arte, Milan

Circa 1950-5
