1950s Italian brass & aluminium wall lamp with red lacquered metal shade.
The brass switch is counterweighted to modulate the height of the shade - when pulled down, the shade is adjusted upward, and when released, the shade is lowered. In addition, the telescopic rod arm can be manually extended or shortened, depending on the preferred location of the light and shade.
The design details of the armature are evidence of the quality craftsmanship and construction, typical of important Italian makers of the period such as Stilnovo.
Max extension: 166 cm. Shade dia. 36 cm. Overall height c. 60 cm.
In good original condition with a warm patina to the brass, expected wear, scratches, scuffs etc. to the original red lacquer and cream shade interior. The lacquer shade is in original condition but can also be supplied sprayed to any colour.
Supplied wired to specification with silk flex, hard wired or with a plug.
