A 1950s Italian brass and aluminium 'Triennale' floor lamp, in the style of Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce.

The finely engineered tripod base supports a slender brass stem and three fully adjustable arms with conical lacquered aluminium shades.

A product of the post-war period and so called ‘economic miracle’ in Italy, which saw a boom in finely engineered modernist design. This particular form with its lacquered aluminium shades is iconically 1950s Italian Modern - clearly inspired by Angelo Lelii’s ‘Trienalle’ lamp of the same form, which was exhibited at the prestigious 8th ‘Trienniale di Milano’ in 1947.

The lamp is in original condition, with an overall patina commensurate to its age. There are small scuffs, scratches and areas of oxidisation to the brass and lacquer.

Supplied wired to specification. We generally aim to preserve as much of an objects original finish as possible but re-spraying and polishing is also possible if required.

Additional Dimensions:
Diameter of base: 45 cmHeight to top of central column: 160 cmMaximum overall height as configured with one shade positioned upright: 200cm.Approximate overall width when configured as shown: 100cm
