An unusual ‘Ice Glass’ champagne cooler made by the Boston & Sandwich Glass company c. 1880.
The jug has a fluted rim and a braided glass handle applied above an opening that extends into the centre of the body, designed for inserting ice to keep champagne chilled
The design and technique is inspired by Venetian antique glass.
